Why I work at Duhovka
Duhovka Elementary School is the right place for a child's all-round development. It is staffed by teachers who take their work as a mission. They prepare children for life so that they can navigate a complex world full of obstacles.
What helps me in my work
Studying social work has taught me to be much more sensitive to my surroundings. While working in the after-school center, I try to socialize children through different activities. For example, drama or music, because music connects.

What I like about Duhovka
What I like about Duhovka is the diversity. Even when I work in the office, I like to walk through the classrooms and see what the children are working on and how the teachers make their lessons more interesting. I have been working here since 2013 and after all these years I still enjoy the Duhovka and I never cease to be amazed by the creativity of everyone around me - teachers and staff, children, parents.
What helps me in my work
I graduated from the Business Academy with a specialization in tourism. I also see a huge benefit in a year of postgraduate studies in English, a year in Scotland as an au pair, and Duhovka educates me to this day.

Why I work at Duhovka
What I like about Duhovka is how it manages to embrace the diversity of the children, because of the bilingual environment children have the opportunity to have a daily experience with the English language. The children are encouraged to work together, to tolerate, to help each other. The values conveyed at Duhovka are essential to their development, allowing children to feel safe and secure in a friendly environment where the teacher helps the child find their way to knowledge and school skills.

I love working with people who see the child as a partner...not in words, but in actions. Duhovka seeks, honors, and develops the individuality of the child. In my position at Duhovka, I utilize many years of experience with child and family therapy, have completed several therapeutic trainings, and also focus on children in my private practice. In our company we also have a long-standing collaboration with schools in teacher training, which is a source of both experience and inspiration.

What I like about Duhovka
Duhovka is a wonderful school for children to grow. They have the opportunity to advance in their academic studies, while also developing their independence and practical skills for life. Our students learn to cooperate and collaborate with their peers and teachers everyday. They have the opportunity to have fun while learning, make decisions about their work, and lead or learn from each other. At Duhovka we strive to share a warm, caring community among the children, teachers, parents, and all school staff.
What helps me in my work
My experience of teaching children for over 20 years and teaching / mentoring adults for the last 30 years has supported my experience at Duhovka. This gives me a background to understand and evaluate each new person or situation that crosses my path. In keeping Montessori's thoughts on growth and development at the forefront of my work, I am better able to understand each of us develop to be the best of who we are when given the right circumstances to thrive. Duhovka gives this to children, parents, and employees.

Why I work at Duhovka
My favorite thing about Duhovka is working directly with the children. Our children are honest and open, even in covid's substandard conditions (also with our help) they try to keep their enthusiasm and motivation. Every day with them brings me new ideas and perspectives on the world we live in through their eyes and thinking.
What helps me in my work
Apart from the study of psychology itself, my experience working with children in schools in excluded localities and with children with autism spectrum disorders, have served me the most. Both of these experiences have shown me the diversity of children's nature and experiences, as well as the different possibilities in supporting them.
