What I like about Duhovka
I really like working at Duhovka. There is a great and friendly team of people here. I really like the Duhovka system, which looks at the individual needs of each child. The challenges of each day help me to develop and learn how to take even better care of the children and their environment.
What helps me in my work
At the age of 17, my mother enticed me to work with children in the sport club Sokol Hanspaulka. I took it as a hobby at first. Later on, I found out that I wanted to continue this kind of work in the future. Over the years I have taken countless courses on how to work with children and develop their skills. In 2020 I successfully completed the course "Sports Activities Instructor".

What I like about Duhovka
I chose Duhovka because I was attracted to the Montessori approach, because I believe that children learn with joy. I think it is also good because it is bilingual and the children have a huge garden.
What helps me in my work
I have experience as a Teacher's Assistant and as a Head of School Afternoon Center.

What I like about Duhovka
Duhovka helps to develop each child individually, emphasizing innate intelligence and developing what the child is good at. Duhovka gives children the chance to learn at their own pace and allows them to experience success and the joy of discovery.
What helps me in my work
I have been working with children for more than 12 years. Most of the time I have taught in Australia and the UK. At Duhovka I like the bilingual environment and the individual development of each child's talents.

What I like about Duhovka
Our approach to children's upbringing and learning and the dedication of my colleagues in whatever function they have in the school is unique. And it makes me feel proud that I have a place and a share in all this. And it is not a closed case. We continue to develop, set new goals, find new ways...
What helps me in my work
After almost 36 years (by 1/8 2022!) of working in two countries as a teacher, school director, coach, consultant, družina teacher and head of družina & clubs at the end it boils down to the fact that my job in Duhovka lets me utilise two of my favorite things; my love for children and my interest in leadership. Being part of an organisation and a team, and helping driving these forward makes me thrive like a fish in water...

What I like about Duhovka
Children at Duhovka learn to communicate with other children and adults confidently, without fear and at the same time with kindness. They know that school is a safe space to express themselves and that they will always be treated with respect. It is precisely these interactions that make Duhovka an organization worth working for.
What helps me the most at work
What helps me the most at work? I mostly met with children in drama education, where it was common practice to supervise the youngest members of the group. I've been with our group since 2020, so my biggest asset is undoubtedly my experience with colleagues and supervisors - and of course the children.

What I like about Duhovka
I would like to see more schools in the Czech Republic that try to foster children's natural ability to learn, that teach them to understand things, not just memorize them. What I see as important is that they see things in context and are able to use their knowledge skilfully when it is really useful. Critical thinking and the ability to adapt will be the most important skills of the 21st century and I found support for exactly these qualities at Duhovka.
What helps me in my work
Rediscovering a sense of purpose and desire to work in education. Also knowledge from travelling in Europe, studying teaching at the University of South Bohemia or perhaps working as a teaching assistant in a kindergarten in Radovice or as a tutor of Czech and Mathematics.

What I like at Duhovka
I like Duhovka because it is unlike any school setting I have experienced before. What sets Duhovka apart from other schools is the Montessori approach and the freedom it allows for children to learn in a way that suits their personality and their preferred learning style. Not every student learns in the same way and the Montessori approach encourages students to find the most stimulating and engaging learning environment possible for them personally.
What helps me most at word
As someone who has worked with and cared for children who have been abused and/or with learning difficulties, I understand how different environments can affect learning outcomes for a young person. I know very well that a nurturing, caring and tailored environment is essential for the development and overall prosperity for a child.
